Bubble Down Car Wash - Wesley Chapel
Construction plans and permitting were provided for the Wesley Chapel Bubble Down project. The location features a 165-foot tunnel, numerous vacuum stations, and more to create a substantial space that accommodates extra equipment, ensuring a more comprehensive and rapid clean for your vehicle.

Winter Haven Honda - Winter Haven, FL
Worked with the Client and the City of Winter Haven on the development of new frontage display areas. This project included the new frontage display features, grading, drainage, landscaping, restoration, and survey services.

Babas Food and Fuel - Haines City, FL
This 2.54-acre commercial development features a 5,550-square-foot convenience store and six fueling bays with 12 fueling positions. Rayl Engineering provided surveying, site design, permitting, stormwater and utility design, grading, modeling, and construction services.
A key challenge was designing a stormwater management system for a closed drainage basin while meeting FDOT and SWFWMD requirements. Rayl Engineering also identified discrepancies in the original survey and coordinated corrected surveying to establish accurate site conditions and avoid potential design conflicts.
The project required coordination with the City of Haines City, FDOT, SWFWMD, and FDEP. Through careful site planning, accurate surveying, and detailed stormwater modeling, Rayl Engineering successfully addressed the project’s complex drainage, permitting, and operational requirements.

Tampa Rehab Hospital - Temple Terrace, FL
Tampa Rehabilitation Hospital is a 60-bed, 62,000-square-foot rehabilitation hospital developed on a 2.01-acre site in Temple Terrace, Florida. Rayl Engineering provided civil engineering services including property splitting, site design, grading, stormwater and utility design, permitting, and construction services.
The project required adapting existing infrastructure to meet the hospital’s specialized operational and accessibility needs, including 14 accessible parking spaces. Rayl Engineering coordinated with SWFWMD, the City of Temple Terrace, FDEP, AHCA, and the project team to develop efficient grading, drainage, utility, and circulation solutions within the constraints of an existing developed site.

South Tampa Bubble Down - Tampa, FL
Bubble Down South Tampa is a 4.9-acre redevelopment featuring an 8,540-square-foot tunnel car wash, 3,750-square-foot maintenance facility, and 113,113-square-foot self-storage facility with 839 units. Rayl Engineering provided civil engineering services including site design, grading, stormwater and utility design, permitting, variances, and construction services.
The project required careful coordination of multiple uses, phased development, vehicle circulation, and stormwater requirements from three regulatory agencies. Our team worked closely with the client and coordinated with SWFWMD, the City of Tampa, FDOT, and FDEP to develop an efficient site design that met operational and regulatory requirements. Phase I, including the car wash and maintenance facility, has been constructed.

Bubble Down Spring Hill - Tampa, FL
Bubble Down Spring Hill is a 9,000-square-foot tunnel car wash developed on a 2-acre site, featuring 22 vacuum stalls, three service lanes, and a dedicated bug preparation area. Rayl Engineering provided civil engineering services including site design, grading, stormwater and utility design, permitting, variances, and construction services.
The project required maximizing the site’s limited footprint while maintaining efficient circulation and addressing an interconnected stormwater system serving adjacent properties. Our team coordinated with SWFWMD, Hernando County, and FDOT to successfully navigate stormwater, zoning, and permitting requirements and deliver a functional high-capacity facility.

Range Werx - Fort Meade, FL
Range Werx is a private shooting range with 16 bays. Rayl Engineering and Surveying prepared a concept plan for the phased development of the property to include rental cabins, an equipment shed, numerous shooting ranges, and recreational vehicle sites with utility hookups. Range Werx is Florida’s premier shooting range with 16 shooting bays.

Construction plans and permitting were provided for the Starbucks location in Temple Terrace, Florida.

USF Federal Credit Union
Construction plans and permitting were provided for the USF Federal Credit Union branch located in Temple Terrace, Florida.

SkyPoint - Tampa, FL
Project Manager/Engineer of Record for civil design services for the SkyPoint development in downtown Tampa. Services included rezoning, design, and permitting of a mixed use high rise tower development. The 32-story (365-foot) tower provides 685,000 SF of residential and retail space on a 1.2-acre site. Design elements included a storm water system audit; permitting through SWFWMD, City of Tampa Water, Sewer, and Right-of-way were also conducted.

Tampa General ER - Tampa, FL
Alan Rayl, PE, PSM was the Engineer of Record for the $100 Million Dollar Tampa General Emergency Room Expansion. The expansion occurred on the second-floor level at an elevation of 17.0 feet to function during a Saffir-Simpson Scale 5 (CAT 5) hurricane event. A separate intake, decontamination, triage and treatment area was also constructed on the surface lot beneath the new ER for use in the event of a large-scale event involving hazardous materials and unknown or dangerous contagions.

Gator Ford - Seffner, FL
Services provided included survey, design, permitting, construction observation and certifications. Also provided design modifications to the existing I-4 side ditch system adjacent to the project and sign permitting variance coordination for the dealership signage. The project contained more than 10 acres of display area along I-4 and an on-site test track/proving ground.
