Arcadia Landings - Arcadia, FL

Construction plans and permitting were provided for the Arcadia Landings Affordable Housing project. Arcadia Landings is a 55 and older apartment community with a total of 56 units. The community will include a mix of 32 – 1 bedroom units and 24 – 2 bedroom units which is located in Desoto County, Florida.

Winter Haven Honda - Winter Haven, FL 

Worked with the Client and the City of Winter Haven on the development of new frontage display areas. This project included the new frontage display features, grading, drainage, landscaping, restoration, and survey services.

Range Werx - Fort Meade, FL

Range Werx is a private shooting range with 16 bays. Rayl Engineering and Surveying prepared a concept plan for the phased development of the property to include rental cabins, an equipment shed, numerous shooting ranges, and recreational vehicle sites with utility hookups. Range Werx is Florida’s premier shooting range with 16 shooting bays.

Dry Fertilizer Storage Facility - Mulberry, FL

Rayl Engineering & Surveying, LLC provided professional civil engineering and land surveying services for site construction plan design and permitting at the local dry fertilizer storage facility. This project includes the development of a 90,000 square foot dry fertilizer storage and handling facility and related site improvements.

Lake Ashton II CDD - Winter Haven, FL

Lake Ashton II CDD Pickleball Courts and Parking Area 2017 - present
Serving as District Engineer for the Lake Ashton II Community Development District (a quasi-governmental entity) we have worked on numerous projects including the most recent design, permitting, and development of two new Pickleball courts and ancillary parking lot at their existing Health and Fitness Center.

USF Federal Credit Union

Construction plans and permitting were provided for the USF Federal Credit Union branch located in Temple Terrace, Florida.

SkyPoint - Tampa, FL

Project Manager/Engineer of Record for civil design services for the SkyPoint development in downtown Tampa. Services included rezoning, design, and permitting of a mixed use high rise tower development. The 32-story (365-foot) tower provides 685,000 SF of residential and retail space on a 1.2-acre site. Design elements included a storm water system audit; permitting through SWFWMD, City of Tampa Water, Sewer, and Right-of-way were also conducted.

CFRPC Office - Bartow, FL

Engineer of Record for the Award Winning redevelopment of the existing CFRPC office site. Services provided were design of demolition of existing asphalt parking lot and replacement with a pervious paving system made from recycled rubber tires.  The approximately 10,000 sf parking lot contains over 4,000 used tires.  The project also included a site-wide comprehensive design and installation of new landscaping consisting of Florida-native plants, including a micro-irrigation system.

Twin Lakes Subdivisions - Brandon, FL

Project Manager/Engineer of Record for master drainage design and modeling to coordinate the development of the 1200-acre/1100-lot Riverhills Country Club and 500-acre/475-lot Twin Lakes subdivisions. The drainage modeling included approximately 1600 acres of offsite area, multiple natural lake systems, Stearns Creek and Turkey Creek waterways, in addition to the subdivision's stormwater management systems. Responsible for all design, permitting, and client coordination necessary.

SE 3rd Street Crossing Replacement - Mulberry, FL

2011 - Pavement failure was observed that indicated a loss of structural integrity in the decaying triple corrugated metal pipe crossing of the Ellis Branch of the North Prong of the Alafia River.  Rayl Engineering & Surveying, LLC represented the City’s interests in selecting a qualified consultant and supervising the design, permitting, and construction to re-open the roadway ahead of schedule.

Gator Ford - Seffner, FL

Services provided included survey, design, permitting, construction observation and certifications. Also provided design modifications to the existing I-4 side ditch system adjacent to the project and sign permitting variance coordination for the dealership signage. The project contained more than 10 acres of display area along I-4 and an on-site test track/proving ground.

Restoration of bathroom facilities at the City’s primary event park through a new sanitary sewer connection under the N. Charleston Avenue (US Hwy 17-98) roadway travel lanes.

Prepared construction plans and permits for 3,000 feet of outfall ditch improvements at the Dolphin Cay luxury townhomes in St. Petersburg, FL. A Gated Community of Condominiums and Homes.

Towers of Channelside - Tampa, FL

Project Manager/Engineer of Record for civil design services for the Towers of Channelside. The project included rezoning, design, and permitting of a mixed use development including two 30-story towers located on a 3.5-acre site in downtown Tampa. Project needs included coordination with the Tampa Expressway Authority, permitting through SWFWMD, City of Tampa Water, Sewer, and Right-of-Way Departments; and reconstruction of a major thoroughfare (12th Street) located in the Channelside District.

Tampa General ER - Tampa, FL

Alan Rayl, PE, PSM was the Engineer of Record for the $100 Million Dollar Tampa General Emergency Room Expansion. The expansion occurred on the second-floor level at an elevation of 17.0 feet to function during a Saffir-Simpson Scale 5 (CAT 5) hurricane event. A separate intake, decontamination, triage and treatment area was also constructed on the surface lot beneath the new ER for use in the event of a large-scale event involving hazardous materials and unknown or dangerous contagions.

Citywide Stormwater Utility Fee - Mulberry, FL

Rayl Engineering & Surveying, LLC coordinated with City administration to correct the assessments being made for the Stormwater Utility Fee. The City was not initially aware of the need for this correction. The Ordinance provided for a flat rate ($4) for residences and an impervious surface coverage based rate for non-residential properties.  At the initial implementation, all properties were being assessed the $4 fee. This was costing the City over $44,000/year in uncollected fees.
